Choirs for Children & Youth

Vocal Choirs

St. Nicholas Choir

Wednesdays | 5:00 p.m. – 5:45 p.m.
Grades K-2. Our choir for younger children will focus on vocal development through singing hymns, anthems and other songs. Handbells and other instruments may be used in teaching music reading skills. They sing occasionally throughout the year for the 10:30 service, and sometimes with the St. Andrew Choir. Directed by Andrea Spraggins.

St. Andrew Choir

Wednesdays | 5:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m.
Grades 3-8. Choristers enjoy the challenging and rewarding experience of preparing music for worship from the Anglican choral repertoire. They receive specialized training in vocal technique, music literacy, and the Church’s worship through the Royal School of Church Music’s training plan. Members have the opportunity to participate in local and regional chorister festivals, and scholarship assistance is available for summer RSCM courses. Directed by Paul Thomas.
Note: Singers in 9th-12th grades may be placed in the St. Andrew Choir or the Senior Choir.

WindRingers Handbell Choir

Sundays, 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Grades 7-12. WindRingers offers our older youth a richly-rewarding musical experience with handbells. Building on past success, this choir offers musical selections in worship on a regular basis, and performs in the community as occasions arise. Retreats and social events throughout the year enhance the fun and fellowship of this choir. Directed by Andrea Spraggins.
