Sunday Mornings
-
Join us on Sunday mornings at 8:45am for breakfast in Key Andrews Hall and at 9:15am in Huckabay Hall for a fall full of engaging topics and conversations.
September 13 | What’s In a Sermon?
A new offering this fall: Join the preacher in exploring the Scripture lessons for the day and the process of wrestling with the Holy Spirit that shapes Sunday’s sermon. Father Eric will lead the first session on September 13. This same format will be offered again during the November 15 lecture.
September 20 | Special Guest U.S. Navy Commander (Retired) Frank Weisser Commander
Frank Weisser, a two-time Blue Angels pilot and lifelong Episcopalian, will share stories and wisdom from his remarkable career as a naval aviator. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and a combat-deployed pilot featured in Top Gun: Maverick, Frank brings a unique perspective and a wealth of experience. We are excited to welcome him to St. Paul’s.
September 27, October 4 & 11 | Stewards of Creation
Join Father Eric, Mother Elizabeth, and Father Murdock for a three-week series exploring our call to be stewards of creation. In celebration of St. Francis on October 4, we’ll reflect on how we can embrace a deeper love for God’s world, following Francis’ example of praising God through all creation.
For All The Saints
As the old hymn says, "The saints lived not only in ages past; there are hundreds of thousands still. . . For the saints of God are just folk like me, And I mean to be one too."
Join us over these four Sundays as we meet some of the current saints of St. Paul's and remember those who have come before.
October 18 | 50+ Year Member Forum
We'll engage in conversation with a panel of our most seasoned saints. They have beautiful stories of faith and community to share.
October 25 | Meet the Vestry Candidates
Come meet the saints of St. Paul's who feel called to serve as Vestry leaders and who will stand for election at this year's Annual Meeting.
November 1 & 8 | Saints of St. Paul’s and Beyond
The lives and stories of the saints are icons that reveal the nearness of God and the power of God's love for all of us. Join Mother Elizabeth and Father Eric as we dwell with the saints of St. Paul's and of the wider Church.
November 15 | What’s In a Sermon?
Join the preacher in exploring the Scripture lessons for the day and the process of wrestling with the Holy Spirit that shapes Sunday’s sermon.
November 22 | Christ the King Sunday with Father Murdock
Don't let your curiosity over Christ the King overwhelm. Join Father Murdock for a conversation about the history, theology, and significance of this observance. Liturgical dance is hoped for but not promised, unlike the Reign of Christ which is always hoped for, promised, and present.
November 29 | Advent Wreath Making
Create an Advent wreath for your home with wreath forms, greenery, ribbons, and candles provided. Join us in Key-Andrews Hall as we prepare for the season of Advent—a time of watching, waiting, and hope.
