About the Trip

Our Senior Choir will represent St. Paul’s and Chattanooga by singing the daily services at Durham Cathedral (UK,) a UNESCO World Heritage site, the resting place of Saints Cuthbert and Bede, and a spiritual home of Christianity in the north of England. This is the first time that St. Paul’s (or any church in Chattanooga) has undertaken a choral residency at a cathedral in the UK, and it is a great honor for our choir to have been invited.

Give

Director of Music Paul Thomas writes: “I personally have participated in residencies such as this before, and they have been life-changing and vocation-affirming experiences for me. I am so thrilled to be able to share this opportunity with our choir.” We have a set a goal to fundraise the total costs of the trip so that all of our singers will be able to attend, regardless of their individual financial ability. This is well-beyond the scope of our normal music budget, so we need significant additional support to make it happen. We ask for your help and are very grateful for your support. You may give online at by pressing the button below and selecting “Choir Pilgrimage Fund” in the drop-down menu, or you may give via check to St. Paul’s Episcopal Church with “Choir Pilgrimage Fund” in the memo line.
